The Olympic Games from a Statistical Perspective

I mean, don't get me wrong, I think the Olympic Games are both awesome and entertaining to watch, but in many ways, the Olympics are an international pissing contest, the results of which are somehow expected to make us proud of our countries' physical achievements rather than embarrassed of their plummeting health statistics.
