Jabberjay: an epic Jabberwocky/Hunger Games mash-up

Okay, so this was a ton of fun to work on. I knew that my signature "crayons and finger-paint" art style couldn't tell the kind of story I wanted to with this poem, so I called on my ridiculously talented friend Suze Shore to illustrate for me, and good golly if she didn't blow thing motherfucker right out of the water.

She and I also collaborated on two different ghost story comics for charity! You can check out one of the anthologies we collaborated for here. The other one is launching THIS weekend at Hal-con in Halifax! Whoo!

If you want more awesome art from Suze, check her out on Tumblr and Twitter. Also, hey, if you don't already, you can follow me on Tumblr and Twitter.

So there you have it: Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky and Suzanne Collins' The Hunger games mashed up like it AIN'T NO THANG.

Also, the jabberjay is totally actually a thing in the books--not in the movie though.
